2009 - MY YEAR TO SHINE

Do you remember that victory for our women's soccer team?!!! I love the picture of the celebrating, hugging, laughing, crying!! There was a message on the Radical Women Network Forum board this morning that just said "I GOT THE JOB!" and one of the Radical Women on the site thanking other Radical Women Network Members for all the words of support and the prayers. That's the same feeling I get as when I see the soccer picture. Women working together against all odds. Women supporting each other. Women picking someone up when she is down or giving advice that worked for her. That's so much what I had in mind when I started the Radical Women Network. Below is the message I left on that site this morning ....
"Woo! Hoo! Congratulations on your job! I am so proud of all of you for supporting each other with your thoughts, prayers and encouraging words. This group of R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Women is going to rise above all of the conflict and pain and accomplish amazing things! I just want each one of you to understand that a crisis like midlife divorce can start us on a road (even though we did not want it or cause it and we did everything to stop it), we are at a point where we can create a new life powerful and strong, fun and good. So often we become emotionally flabby because we haven't learned to flex our emotional muscles and overcome defeat. Every good team has had their share of defeats. But they pick each other up and get stronger and learn! Once we learn those new lessons, nothing can stop us! And when we are all working together, supporting each other, praying for each other great things will happen for all of us! Remember this: 2009 - My Year to Shine! Keep those success stories coming!
