"He only lives, who living, enjoys life." ~Ancient Greek Philosopher - Menander
Woo! Hoo! It's a new year! Even though it was a struggle to stay up 'til Midnight, we did it and I went outside when the ball fell and yelled as loud as I could, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!" I heard some pots and pans banging. I heard some firework. On television I saw people from all over the world celebrating the start of another revolution around the sun. I, for one, have decided that no matter what happens on this year-long journey of 2008, I am going to find joy in it. I am going to "rejoice and be glad." I am going to concentrate on the good and not the bad. I think everyone likes the idea of new beginnings, and if you are going through divorce, you are definitely ready for some fresh new joy. I love January 1, because no matter what happened last year, I have a whole new 365 days stretching ahead of me full of promise. Who knows what amazing, glorious things will happen this year? And the thing is, that no matter what happens, God can use it for good. Whether I can see it at the time or not, God can transform every single event in my life into something that will be good for me and will serve his greater purpose. So how can 2008 NOT be good? So Happy New Year! Enjoy the ride starting this very day. Do something good for others and for yourself today. Trust God today, and then whatever happens ... be glad and enjoy!
"Whatever happens ... be glad in God." ~ Philippians 3:1
