R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Thoughts

"Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting."
Anonymous - from a little book called "have fun."

Don't you sometimes feel you are anything BUT normal. What is "normal" anyway? I think sometimes if we all realized how infinitely ABOVE normal we really are, we would be smiling every minute. We are each an original. A bright shining star unlike any other. Just think for a moment that this conglomeration of atoms that is me is the only one put together just like me. I have unique gifts, unique talents, a unique look, a unique personality ... I am the only person on this earth like me! The same is true for you. Isn't that incredible? Forget about fitting in. Stand out! Forget about being ho-hum. Shine like the star you are! I believe in God. I think that God allows for this amazing diversity for a purpose. I am put on this earth at this specific time in this specific place for a specific reason. Why? I am not just ANY person. I am the only person on this earth specifically gifted to do what I am doing. I believe that God knows me, and when I learn to trust him he gives me a brand new name and a new purpose. I have a specific, soul-expanding, heart-stirring job that only I can do. Even if you don't believe in God, read the verse below and understand that we are each a stunning gift, a rare jewel, a one-of-a-kind delight, a miracle. Realize that. Recognize that. Trying to be normal in the light of who we really are is not only exhausting, but impossible.

You'll get a brand-new name straight from the mouth of GOD. You'll be a stunning crown in the palm of GOD's hand, a jeweled gold cup held high in the hand of your God. No more will anyone call you Rejected, and your country will no more be called Ruined. You'll be called My Delight ...Because GOD delights in you.
Isaiah 62 (The Message)
