R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Thoughts

"Work should be more fun than fun."
Noel Coward

I have to admit, I enjoy what I do. I don't even consider it work. I've been blessed that every single job I've had has been something I have loved to do. Don't get me wrong ... there have been wild and crazy and frustrating and disappointing days during my work life; but on the whole, I have loved having the chance to use the abilities I have to do something productive. Work is a means of sharing your talents for the good of others no matter what you are doing. And isn't it great that we all have different abilities? I would not be a good bookkeeper! I would not be good at a lot of things, but I think we all gravitate toward those jobs that inspire us and fulfill us and give us joy. I will say that I never in my wildest dreams thought I would have a business called Midlife Divorce Recovery. But what I'm doing now has given me an unbelievable opportunity to share and encourage and help women get to a better place .... and I'll admit that's joy in the best sense of the word! And in a way, even though the topic isn't fun, the women I interact with are! I totally agree with the writer of Ecclesiastes. I don't have any time to brood over the past! I'm busy busy busy enjoying this wonderful present I've been given.

"And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. God keeps such people so busy enjoying life that they take no time to brood over the past."
Ecclesiastes 5:19-20 (The Living Bible)
