R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Thoughts

"I ran and ran and ran every day, and I acquired this sense of determination, this sense of spirit that I would never, never give up, no matter what else happened."
Wilma Rudolph, Olympic Gold Medalist
If you want to be inspired, google Wilma Rudolph and read a little about her life. She was the 20th of 22 children (whew!) Her family was poor. She was premature and at four years of age she was diagnosed with polio and could not walk. With the unflagging help and determination of her family and friends, something remarkable happened. One Sunday when she was 11, after years of therapy, discipline and hard work, Wilma removed her leg braces and walked down the aisle of her church. "Her strength grew, and she gloried in her ability to run." At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960, Wilma Rudolph became the first American woman to win three Olympic Gold medals. She retired from running when she was 22 years old, but Wilma thought God had a greater purpose for her than to win three gold medals. She started the Wilma Rudolph Foundation to help children learn about discipline and hard work. Now let's see, what is it that is holding us back from accomplishing what God put us on this earth to accomplish?
"No, dear brothers (and sisters) I am still not all I should be, but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God is calling us up to heaven because of what Christ Jesus did for us."
Philippians 3: 13-14 (Living Bible)
