R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Thoughts

"Wishes never filled the bag."
Greek Proverb

If you are going through a divorce, you have probably been doing your share of wishing lately. Wishing things had turned out differently. Wishing you were still married. Wishing you didn't have to suffer like this. Wishing you had more money. Wishing your children didn't have to go through this. Nothing can change the things that have already happened, and simply wishing for something in the future never makes it happen either. Action makes things happen. Concrete decisions and real work and commitment make things happen. So instead of wishing for some particular "good" to come into your life, write down what you want to happen. Write down some concrete goals. Then write down three real actions you can take to make each goal a reality. Decide what you want, and then instead of wishing for it, start taking steps to make it happen. Pray about it. Ask for God's blessings on it. Before you know it, your bag will be full.

"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."
Proverbs 16:3
