R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Thoughts

"I no longer fear the storm, because I am learning to sail my own ship."
Louisa May Alcott

Okay guys, this is my first blog attempt from the road. Our trip has nothing to do with a ship, but instead with two cars "sailing" across Kansas with travelers from age two to 60 ... which always means an interesting trek! (Tip: Never be in a hurry on a trip like this!) Don't be in a hurry on your current journey either. Be diligent. Be determined. Be decisive. Keep moving in the right direction. There will be pit stops (many) and detours and being temporarily lost, just like on our trip yesterday, but if you "keep on keeping on," you will finally get to your destination. And just an extra note of interest: If there are any young children available to you during your voyage (grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors, or someone from the Big Sisters and Big Brothers organization), grab them for the day or for the weekend! You will definitely get your mind off of yourself and they will make you laugh! I'm not making light of your journey. I've been there. But just keep pressing forward and find joy along the way and you'll make it whether you are in a ship or in an SUV.

"...the precious possession of a man is diligence."
Proverbs 12:27
