R.A.D.I.C.A.L. Thoughts
"He that will have the fruit must climb the tree."
Greek Proverb
Well, I am on my way to ski after six or more years. I'm hoping I can remember how. I'm hoping I don't embarrass my kids or grandkids. I'm hoping I can get off the chairlift without falling. But the only way I'll find out is to get out there and do it. I could stay home and pretend I have better things to do, but I'd miss all the fun, all the laughter, all the falls. When going through my divorce I wondered if I could get a job after all those years of mothering ... or if I could really support myself with my little marketing business. Later on down the line I wondered if I could remember how to act on a real live date... those thoughts kept me up on more than one night. But even though you might have been out of the workplace for years, you've still been honing skills that will serve you well. And women really never forget how to flirt. (You might have been flirting with your husband all along ... but he didn't notice.) Regardless, when the slopes are before us and the snow is good, all we can do is put on our skiis and start down the hill. I think you'll be surprised ... and remember you get to pick the run you want to take ... and, there's always the ski patrol!
"...do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
John 14:27
P.S. I will be gone until March 27th. I will try to post the RADICAL Thoughts, but don't know for sure how the computer will work in the mountains or if I can get access to the internet. If not, have a good week!
